In the afternoon we leave this peaceful lake and drive up the Lough to Terryglass.
At Terryglass the harbour is busy and we spot some well-known faces. We moor at the quay before 'Tugal'.
A hire boat gives way to a motoring sailboat and goes close to the shallow inside the marked area but they are lucky.

Sunday 06/05/2012 Terryglass - Portland Island - Meelick Quay
Length of boat trip: 3.2 hours
Motto of the day: Rainbows in the Shannon Callows
The morning starts mild and sunny after a windy night with heavy rain.
A speedboat become adrift close to the quay wall and the captain of a cruiser while approaching Terryglass sees that and comes along to help and also a jet ski arrives on the scene. The driver of the speedboat seems to enjoy his rescue and to be picked up by the jetski driver!
