Wednesday 20/04/2011 Ballykeeran Lough - Killinure - Coosan - Athlone – Clonmacnoise Motto of the day: Swaying around and a surprise meeting I’m up before sunrise. The morning is peaceful at first light. Ground fog is swirling on the lake and between the reeds. With sun rise the cool colours of the morning change and reed and water are dipped in yellow and red light.
We start early and drive slowly around on the glassy Inner Lakes. We take on water at Killinure and moor at Coosan Point for a break.
Then we go on to Athlone over a glassy and hazy Lough Ree.
