Monday 19/04/10 Terryglass - Portumna Castle Harbour - Garrykennedy Length of boat trip: 3 hours Motto of the day: A glassy lake In the sunny morning we head across to Portumna Castle Harbour for some further shopping.
In the afternoon we drive southwards on a glassy Lough Derg with less traffic, especially hired boats. We pass 'Lofty' and 'Charlie', see our travelogue last year. Benjamin rock has a temporary black top marker.
Garrykennedy is quiet. A pair of swans cements their relationship, before breeding, with synchronous moves; a turf war takes place with a neighbour and the border of the territory is defended.
