Sunday 02/05/10 Mountshannon - Dromineer - Black Lough
Length of boat trip: 4 hour 29 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes on Tanjuan
Motto of the day: Rough and calm waters
A race of lakeboats for the best angling places starts in the morning. We don't race.
The briefing after brunch tells us that we will head initially for Domineer. The RNLI rib arrives for a coffee but they get a call-out to Inishcealtra where a hire cruiser has run aground.
The fleet leaves and we meet suprisingly John on his vega1447 crossing ahead in a northerly breeze on the wavy surface around the black buoy C.
We moor at Dromineer and boat after boat arrives.
Then we enjoy again some noodling on 'Tanjuan'. Again 'Vera Skilton', the RNLI rescue boat, crosses our path; they had a second call-out today.
Our chairman Clare gets the last free space, in a box. ;)
Back at Dromineer Fergal decides to go ahead to check the wind conditions in Black Lough where we intend to anchor overnight. Willi joins him on 'Tanjuan'. 'Chang Sha' is the first boat which Fergal brings in, then the other five follow.
We enjoy a beautiful evening rafted together. Later we spend the rest of the evening together on 'El-Roi'.
